Catharine “Catrinka” Randall, a member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists, is a self-taught, award-winning artist who loves painting birds, animals and pet portraits.
Catrinka was an equestrienne for many years, owner of her beloved Henry, an off-the-track thoroughbred who competed in the Breeders’ Cup. In addition to her art, Catrinka, a professional soloist, sings at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Española, New Mexico, in the choir at the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Fe and with the Santa Fe Symphony and Chorus. She and her husband, Randall Balmer, live in Hanover, New Hampshire, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. They have grown children and a Golden Retriever, Tigger.
Currently, her work is being exhibited at TerraCotta Wine Bistro, in Santa Fe. She has won two prizes at exhibitions (most graceful, 2020, and most flamboyant, 2021) in New Hampshire, and her work has appeared at the Audubon Society in Vermont.
