Zsuzsanna Rossetter

Zsuzsa Rossetter has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a pencil, put it to paper, and ‘make pictures’. She was born and raised in Hungary where she lived until she was a young adult. Her artistic passion was put aside when she became deeply engaged in spiritual practice, which brought her to California in 1997. In 2012, during an extended time in the Amazon jungle, she rediscovered her passion to create. She moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2014, where she resides with her husband and two dogs she adores.

She is a self-taught painter for the most part and is an emerging artist. In 2015, she found her medium in watercolor as well as in oil, and she passionately paints subjects she loves. Since then she has shown her work at the 2016 Eldorado Studio Tour, and has exhibited in juried shows in New Mexico. Zsuzsa is an active member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society where she has shown her watercolor paintings. In 2017, she became a member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists.

“I paint themes I am passionate about. All my interests however, stem from the same root — my fascination with the beauty, dignity and fragility of life, be it the creatures of the wild or human. I paint living beings as a way of looking into their souls. I invite the viewer to connect with the soul of each being, and I wish to share my love and deep appreciation for our beautiful planet Earth.”
